Cuba
Cuba is rich in natural resources, history, and culture. The island nation has largely used a planned economy since the 1950s but greater and greater opportunities in the private sector have emerged in recent decades. While tensions between the United States and Cuba have waxed and waned since the Kennedy administration, intellectual property rights are largely excepted from the restrictions imposed by the United States’ embargo.
