St. Lucia
St. Lucia is home to the Pitons mountain range and the late Nobel Prize laureate Derek Walcott. Tourism, banana production, and exports drive the economy of this Commonwealth of Nations member. Before independence, the island switched hands between British and French control numerous times, leaving a French influence on its legal system.
